It's very tight. My double door has a couple of horizontal braces that run the length of the door due to it being insulated and the weight. if it weren't for the lower one I'd probably have 5-6 inches. but with that its just a couple. I wrapped that braces with some adhesive felt material as there have been a few occasions where I wasn't in quite right and it caught the top of the plastic on the bumper. no damage as the opener just reversed but just and added precaution.That's ingenious.
How close is your back bumper to the garage door?
Anyone park day in, day out in a space this tight? If so, you guys have any tricks on how I can park perfectly 100% of the time that won't take 5 minutes of inching up, getting out to check, etc?
