My Raptor is pretty much stock except for the Rigid light bar... and some Hella's I added myself. (working on some HID's too) You can get away with stock lights but here in LV it gets HOT in Summer and the best time to run is at night... otherwise I probably wouldn't care so much about the lights. I also plan to upgrade to the Phllips Extreme bulbs someday soon.

For the record, I don't consider tow straps, shovels, radios, etc. as optional "mods"... they are "necessities"... My rubber bed mat was purchased as much its ability to be used for emergency traction and a makeshift creeper as it was to protect the bed...

My Raptor off road miles must be up in the thousands and I can't think of anything the Raptor really "needs"... but the Bakflip and other things mentioned are definitely nice to have!

1. Line-X bed liner - for heavy duty use. Your bed wont have damage, but your stuff might.
2. Truxedo Lo Pro roll up bed cover - for those who need full access to bed w/o blocking back view.
3. Ceramic tint on front windows and windshield - reduce harmful rays from sun. especially good for desert area.
4. Hornet alarm - living in LA. You can keep factory key fob.
5. Mud flap - to prevent scratch on paint from offroading, but still scratches...

CravenSpeed antenna. That's it for now. The wife consented to the truck, but has put the kibosh on any upgrades. I may have oversold it to her as "the perfect truck". The next upgrade (I think I can justify this one) will be a Bakflip.
