Hopefully my 14 will arrive sometime in January.. Trying to figure out the first thing I should do to help protect the paint job....ie clay bar, paint sealant, clear bra and so on...I ordered black so I want to get ahead of trying to keep it looking good...any suggestions on what I should do right when I get her?

Take a look in the cleaning and detailing section. There is a ton of good info in there.

Yeah I was looking through the detail section and saw a lot of guys talking about Adams products... I guess my question is what would ya'll recommend doing right off the bat? Is it worth using a clay bar right when I get it? Are there certain things I need to do before I throw the clear bra on the front... Should I even use a clear bra?

I've read throw what guys/gals do it maintain the paint through out owning the truck...I'm just trying to figured out if there is anything I can do the day I get her home to get ahead of the curve?

Oh yeah, I spend most of my time reading through the engine mod/lighting threads...so much more tempting/fun to read through those lol

I clayed mine first. I didn't feel or find any contaminants on mine, but it won't hurt before you seal it. Everything of Adam's I've used has been first rate. Their glass cleaner and cloths are unbelievable, and to me windows are always the hardest thing to keep streak free.

I had the dealer seal mine before delivery. I forget the name of the product/process, but it takes a full day to cure and supposedly bonds to the clearcoat. Anyway, 5 months later water still beads and rolls off as if I just waxed it. About once a month a wash and apply quick detail wax stuff (spray on and wipe off), but I haven't had to bust out my clay, DA tool, and polishes so far. I'm really happy I had them do it. (It was part of the warranty package they sold me.)

What did the dealer seal cost you? Or did they not break down that cost?

Yeah I'm interested in doing something similar before I bring her home...you have any more details?

The only one I heard of sold via dealers is Simoniz GlassCoat. It was even on the History Channel with the Modern Marvel episode. You can get the three products on eBay for less than $100. Dealers charge $399+

The other one is Optimum OptiCoat
