My patience has run out. 2018 Raptor. I love the truck but enough is enough. First cold snap of the season (teens and 20's) and the locks are froze again. I get the driver's door open only to find that it will not stay closed. Recall was done last year and they froze about a week later. There is a FSA pending but they will only do it if the problem persists.

Needless to say it's being dumped at the dealership tomorrow and I told them to keep it until it was fixed. For the money, this is ********.

I’ve been annoyed by that FSA posting on FordPass for ages now and have asked the dealer if they could just get rid of it and the answer was no, I had to have the repair done. Ironically, I’ve got a door that doesn’t like to latch all the time, but not related to the temperature.

question for you: Do you / did you warm up the truck first? I run mine a few minutes before getting in, and I’m wondering if that may be what keeps me from seeing this when it’s cold.

my 2018 (august build) made it through weeks of 0-15 degree F temps last year with no issues. I just keep blowing off the recall.

I had it fixed at my dealer prior to it becoming a FSA - it happened to me twice but after they fixed it i never had the problem again.

I did not remote start it last night. I customarily do. Either way, I have to use the key to get in, run full heat for 15 minutes or so and slam the door a few times before it latches. I don't dare open any of the other doors. Sticker was $72,110. This is ********. I've read that this problem has existed since 2015. Why has it not been resolved? This is not my dealer's fault. This is a Ford engineering problem. Coming up on two years old and I'm contemplating trading my dream truck.

The problem is clearly legit, and I do think it goes back to the 2015 MY. The thing is there is only so much they can do from an engineering perspective with the units in the field. I’m not sure what the ‘fix’ involves here.

I Agree 3rd winter with no issues. I wish it were the case for all of us. I’d be cranked up also dealing with that issue with the money we put out for these things.
