I use Navy Fed. Dealer tried asking if I was prepared for a $1200 payment. I laughed and said I wasn't buying the truck if that's the best they could do. I went in on a Saturday and with no banks responding to the application I called my CU. They approved me on the phone at 2.48% with zero down. Salesman said there was no way they were gonna be that low and I told him that's why they aren't getting my business. Stupid on their part considering 2.48% may be a pretty low interest rate but that's still a lot of money when you consider the truck cost $54k plus TTT.

I went through Ford, which was Chase Bank. I got 1.5% for 36 months.

That's like free money.

I would do that, but my trust fund is at a zero balance

When I was 29 my trust fund was pretty low, too. I built my own though.
