No money down other than trade in which equalled about 1500 over what I owed.

Got 5.15% from fifth third bank

My normal bank wanted 5k down and I would have had 3.65%

I went with my credit union at 1.99% 48 months, financed 26,000 payment $566.72 a month, Credit score 803. Ford said that they could get me .25% better thru Vystar credit union.

I can't believe how many people are putting almost nothing down. That's ridiculous. What's it $1k a month truck payment?!

I put around $20k down, I think I got 2.7% a year ago on my 2012. Randy got several quotes and US Bank was the cheapest for me. Rates are even lower now too in general.

Thanks guys...I'm potentially going to join this club shortly and will be talking $ soon with my local dealer.

I don't buy cars very often so I'm a noob on how a lot of this works - Did you guys get finance offers before you went into the transaction or does it happen on the day you sign the paperwork? I know i can go to my bank etc. first...but seems less hassle if I just do it via the dealer.

credit check first!

Then they can talk numbers...

But most ppl get better rates at other banks.. like credit union or well fargo etc..

I too used PenFed. I have great credit so I was going to get a good rate where ever I went. They had the lowest @ 1.49 for 5 years. Did it over the phone and it was easy as pie. Had my check in my hand 3 days later...a whole week before the truck even arrived. Borrowed $27k and my payments are $478 a month. Got the truck for $1k over invoice so all in all I couldn't have made out any better.

USE PENFED....can't state that enough. Online payments too!

For sure get credit check done first. Check with local credit unions, check with PenFed and US Bank. Get all that ironed out 1st. The dealer will want to use their preferred finance, and will most of the time be able to beat your best rate unless of course you have the best already. 1.49 % is awesome.

Good Luck, and welcome to the addiction :)
BTW, i stole that line from someone here...:worthy:
