Just wondering, why mount them there and not up above the cab or in the front bumper location? Seems like a strange mounting point but what do I know???

Its an easy way to get the lights up higher without having to go to the trouble of mounting on top of the cab. And since they are up a bit higher they throw light just a bit further. Its a compromise, but only a slight one.

Jeeps have been mounting lights above the hood for a long time, so it's a location that works, and these lights in this location really throws a lot of light. Plus, I will be mounting a 20" LED light bar in the lower grill section, best of both worlds. :)

Damn those look awesome VG!! Guess its time to plan out a Lodi Brew or Prairie city gathering!

Prairie City in in my backyard, so let me know whenever you want to come up. I'm suppose to be in Lodi on the 31st at Wine and Roses talking wedding plans, and then we have to get back for a party, so not sure how much time I'll have there. But something very soon!

I'm glad they came out the way you wanted, make sure you post some pics after the LED bar goes on. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the damn headlights. Go for the $1000 HID retro fit from Dawson or buy $100 LED from DDM and use the stock reflectors??? I'll be out your way next week in the Carmel area. Gonna play some golf at Pebble Beach. Hoping for good weather.:peace:

I sure will! Good luck for that good weather next week, this weekend into part of next week is suppose to be wet and cold, which is perfect for me, going snow boarding Monday.

No rush man, I know you're busy with wedding plans!

I've been to several weddings at Wine and Roses, its a great option for wedding venues. Don't forget to ask to tour the newlywed suite they offer for the *ahem* "after party". :hump: :waytogo:
