The rumor is that Ford is tying executive compensation to a smooth Lightning rollout. I heard the new Lightning is getting #1 priority for chips and parts. Ford messed up the Bronco and Explorer rollouts and leadership was not pleased.

I found it difficult to find a dealer with an allocation. I did find one in MI and have received a Customer Order Verification from Ford Programs to the Dealer with my name and the Order Verification Status as Approved with an Authorization Number. Hopefully, this bodes well. I assumed that the 22 Carryover was affecting the 23 allocations. It will be interesting... I've seen quite a few of the Ford Lightning's on the lots around here; none appear to be moving off the lot.

I too have run into a Raptor road block for a 23. My local dealership in NH was willing to order me a 23 at MSRP and they received a message yesterday saying they weren't getting any allocations to order one.

I am assuming my dealer will have an allocation... They are a top 5 volume dealer in the nation basically every year - maybe for the last 20 anyway. I did not specifically ask about an allocation, but I was the first retail '23 order for them. If I can't get a truck from them, then we are all screwed! LOL
