Fender Flare Paint Quality

Hi All - New Raptor owner here, and I was just curious about something. Is everyone's fender flares smooth and glossy to the touch?

Mine are def a bit more rough than the paint on the truck. Did not know if this is how it is supposed to be?

it has some texture, it's not supposed to be smooth like the paint

It's because they are sprayed low gloss. Supposed to be that way.

Or you can do this...just saw this yesterday at Fab Fords Forever...

Going to dip them first, see how they hold up, then probably Linex.

But yeah, at the moment I do wax them. Adds a little pop, hides the scratches a tiny bit.
