Famous blend door actuator issue

Has anybody had to replace the blend door actuators? Can it be done without removing the whole dash? The parts dept pic looks like it is centered in the dash behind the radio.

I've done it. Yes it can be done without removing the actual dash. Sort of. The one behind the radio is easy. The one below the the evap core... Not so much.
