False Theft Alert with Ford Pass?

I seem to be getting False Protection Alerts via Ford Pass. It says "Your vehicle was forcefully moved or impacted. Check location." Has happened about 1/2 dozen times. Scared crap out of me the first time. Have no idea what is setting it off. I have tried kicking the crap out of the tire to rock it and that does not do it. Anyone else having similar experience?

Well the app is known to be crap now, but you may have a loose sensor on the truck. However, it takes a pretty big movement to trigger the alarm, plus the horn will sound for alarm as well.

That happened to me a couple of weeks ago, I figured someone leaned on it or something. Yes I was freaked out too!

Disconnect battery and unplug the module. Reconnect the module and do a key cycle.

Try adjusting the sensitivity dial.

Module could be pooched.

Mine is generally pesky bug that got in, many times when I leave window cracked open a little overnight. Other times it is just a dang bug I swear. I have had it happen middle of day in front of my house on 1 acre and no one around with Windows up. At that point I will lock it that day with perimeter alarm off.

To clarify.....my alarm is not going off. I am just getting the notice on Ford Pass saying car was moved or impacted. Today was in middle of parking lot and no damage and it was not moved by the Mrs. And I can't make it do it in the driveway. Putting front/rear dash cam in tomorrow so maybe that will help me figure it out.

Sounds like a CAN bus communication issue. The module may have loose connector or damaged wire.

Or I could just turn the Ford Pass theft notification off. I do like the alarm notification as I know it works as I jacked one corner the other day and set it off.

Assuming you have a 2024 with Stolen Vehicle Services. Mine will trigger the FordPass alert without triggering the alarm. One time was during a hurricane and it never set the alarm off on the actual truck but I guess it registered some movement and alerted me via the FordPass app. The other was my son climbed in my truck today and triggered the alarm on the truck and it sent the alert.

Yep that is what I got. I tried kicking the tires to rock the truck, but no luck. Maybe I should climb up on it or few other things to see if I can trigger. Thanks.
