Hi all, 2024 801a

I’m shopping for a local shop to replace my cracked windshield with an OEM one (New Braunfels TX - recommendations welcome!),

I found one with 5.0 stars and many years in business. When I inquired, this is the response I got. The owner is saying that no ADSA recalibration is needed upon replacement.

Do they not know what they’re doing and I should stay away, or is he actually correct? Any input would be much appreciated!

NOT SAFELITE !

Go local. I’ve done 2x replacements, one with, one without. No difference observed. If you suspect something, you can always go to the stealership afterwards.

I had to threaten to take the truck from safelite if they didn’t relinquish it. They insist on the recalibration, even to the point of holding on to it. This was the safe lite near the Forum at 1604.

If the guy is a local shop and has good ratings, go for it.
