Hey Rad. My dealership said they would do the paperwork before as well so I can use the tax deduction. How do dealerships do this? Is it legit?

What exactly did they say that they will do for the tax deduction, mine did a “buyers order” not technically the same thing but shows i purchased the vehicle, though my accountant says he can make it work.

I don’t think that the trucks at Ramp 59 are affected here. That is, they will likely ship when whatever they’re waiting on is remediated. Back in ’17, cr@p tons of us were waiting on bed liners, BEADLOCK capable wheels (autocorrupt did the all caps, not me ). This issue is not something they are likely to resolve at the factory so they’ll get delivered to stealerships and they will be unable to deliver to the customers until there’s a fix.

We had some trucks embargoed because of the seat belt recall.

Well, my truck came from ramp 59 and was delivered yesterday. I was pumped. Dealership was honest, keeping our deal to the penny that we negotiated. I went over and admired/inspected it a bit yesterday….during the 90 minutes I was there two people tried to buy it. I was giddy with excitement all morning. Got the loan finalized with the credit union today…..and then BAM!

During the PDI the dealership saw my truck had the driveshaft recall on it. They don’t have anyone in the service area qualified to do the work til Thursday and it was quoted at 6-8 hour job Bc they said they had to drop the gas tank. Thankful they’re waiting on their experienced/qualified tech that they gave holiday time to, but bummed that it’s another few days of waiting. I thought the inspection was quick and only repair work required the extra time…? Or do all insulators require extra fastening, no matter if they are installed correctly?

I’m sure the procedure is well doc’d and should be a conservative time estimate. Will be a great opportunity for you to have them paint the truck, since all they did was primer it ;-)

I nearly addressed the primer in the original post….but wanted it to be commented on organically…..by smurfslayer!

If magnetic gray was an option it would’ve been ordered that way!!

I’m guessing this issue has been addressed in production. I just had my production go from 2/26 to 1/31 so things are looking up.

Or they have MOST of the parts and hope they get the rest in time, or it will be a cold winter for my truck. Mine is now 1/26 build. Not holding my breath.

The salesman said they would print me a contract with a 2021 date on it.

All affected trucks require the rivets for the insulation.
The inspection is for the driveshaft and fuel vapor line. The driveshaft and fuel tank both need removed to do this.
Most likely, recently delivered truck won’t require a driveshaft or vapor line replacement, since they haven’t been driven.
