FORD DOES NOTHING WRONG, how about that?

Owner does not move his truck off the SIGNED road in time for maintenance?

ASS HOLE city tow truck driver ***** UP Raptor.

Owner of said truck goes onto FRF with Thead Post

F.o.r.d.

Found On Road Dead...Got into the truck this morning to move it out of a street sweeper zone and it won't go into any gear. The gear lever feels a little light so I'm hoping its as simple as connecting some shift linkage. The light is red when in P, once I move it out they all stay white until I get back to P. No lights, codes etc... Waiting on roadside to get the only customer service handout ford offers...

PRICELESS !!

hahaha,
I hadn't blamed Ford yet, and my truck was found on the road dead. I'm a firm believer in innocent until proven guilty and I did state in my initial post that it seemed like something as simple as linkage. That said, I was a bit freaked that my 55k truck was having an issue with only 13k on the clock. As for the handout statement, I'm just spoiled by Infiniti service, which has a loaner car available if you even get an oil change. The best dealer for service here doesn't offer any loaners and can't even promise they will look at your vehicle much less diagnose anything the day you drop it off (even if you have an apt and drop it off at 7am). Luckily they have a commercial truck section which has served me very well and has one of the top Raptor techs in the country.

As for not moving the truck, I just moved to the french quarter and am still getting used to schedules. Some restrictions start at 8am and some start at 7am. I was an hour off... That will certainly be the last time I will be an hour off, especially since I was being nice and giving my fiance my spot in our lot.

What a relief!
Raptor - 1
City of New Orleans - 0

Turns out a city tow truck driver tried to put the trans into N by unhooking the harness and moving the linkage by hand. I knew the shifter felt a little light! Good to know for others in the future...

Cheers,
Austin

So that was the problem, the linkage was unhooked? Or that's what he did in order to move it? I was gonna recommend this in order to move it but I'm not sure if it was the problem in the first place.

Maybe the Raptors' anti-theft system needs some fine tuning.

Shouldn't have anything to do with this scenario.

It's what they're doing right! Checked around the line schedules at our facility last night; about 95%+ of the automotive steel was FoMoCo. Zero Guvmnt Motors.

Backing into my driveway yesterday and a Ebony Black SCrew Raptor pulls up. Dude said he saw mine around and started looking. Traded in his 2011 Denali and couldn't remember why he'd ever he left the Blue Oval.
