TheWolf - Did you put 12" long tips on both pipes?
Yes.

Does your truck have the OEM Raptor exhaust?
Yes.

The stock tips are different lengths, with the rear one being about 2" shorter than the forward one. If both Gibson tips were 12" long, it does not look like the rear one could be slid back on the pipe to line the tips up because the pipe starts to bend.
There is enough pipe for the rear tip to be slid-on.

What should have been a 15 minute project to install the new Gibson 500419-B exhaust tips, ended up taking about 3 hours.

When clamped completely down, the Gibson tips were 2.52" ID, and the stock exhaust pipes are 2.45" OD. That math don't work.

I had to grind out the slot on the tips, so that it could clamp down on the pipe. It took a few tries, grinding out more material each time.

To keep from damaging the tips, and my fingers, I taped them into the boxes and added a small piece of wood to block the grinder wheel from hitting.

This was after the second grind session, with a lot of material removed.

When the tips were clamped down, the slot that was widened still closed up tight.

Hummmm ... Had no issues when I installed the same tips. Actually, they were a bit snug and had to open-up/spread the slot(s) in the tip(s).

Interesting...I think that Gibson may have started making them a little bigger, and for some reason Ford might be using smaller pipes on the exhaust?

FTR ..... The exhaust system was from a 2014 Raptor (*new* < 10 miles on the odometer) and the tips were purchased Sep'2014.
