When I sprayed my skid plate, did the exhaust tip too. I used rattle can spray-in bedliner on mine couple years ago. No chipping, but does show mud.

What brand tips are you looking at?

Please post some pics next time. I'm thinking of getting a ceramic coated tip also.

I'll be eager to see how they hold up. I'm on my second set from a local dealer and the finish keeps flaking off.

Had another GIBSON ceramic coated matte black stainless steel tip (3" inlet / 4" outlet / 12" long) on the previous tailpipe (single exhaust) for 3 years (which included 3 MI winters) and it still looks like new.

Ruger - Where are you getting these GIBSON tail pipes, @gDMJoe?
From GIBSON I would reckon, however, I have OEM, FoMoCo.

The GIBSON reference is to the tip (or tips in the case of the Raptor's duals).

Did you put 12" long tips on both pipes? Does your truck have the OEM Raptor exhaust?

The stock tips are different lengths, with the rear one being about 2" shorter than the forward one. If both Gibson tips were 12" long, it does not look like the rear one could be slid back on the pipe to line the tips up because the pipe starts to bend.

@Ruger did you ever get some of these Gibson tips?
