Doing same thing (exhaust and APIM). Just dropped off this AM. Should be done before end of day.
When everybody is getting these scheduled to get fixed, are they taking your word for it since there is now a known TSB for it or did they observe the problem previously? I have video proof of mine that I was battling a couple times with my local dealer, but when they have the truck, they tell me they don't hear it. I am just wondering if I can call my dealer and they will get the parts and fix it or are they going to have to keep it and try to hear the problem themselves?

All I did was call dealer and told them my exhaust rattles and I saw there was a TSB. I asked if they could pre order the part so I would not have to come back 2x. This was Monday. He called yesterday as he got the parts and said if I could drop off today and he'd have that and the APIM done sometime today.

Learned about this TSB for the exhaust Rattle from this forum. I emailed service manager at my dealer about TSB-22-2388. He ordered the part and I just got the truck fixed today and now I can say that it is better. (Don't mind whining transmission noise)

Called my dealer and told him about the TSB and if he could order the parts so I didn't have to bring it in twice. He told me he had to schedule me in first before he could order parts. Sounds like BS to me. They have had my truck several times trying to hear the sound and couldn't find it. The guy that schedules the vehicles in, heard the sound, but the technician never did (keep in mind this was a couple visits this past summer and last winter/spring before TSB) I even sent them videos of the sound last year and they still want me to bring it in.

Depends on dealer and relationship. I emailed mine and gave them the TSB. They ordered the parts and will schedule once they are in. They did replace my entire exhaust once already... at that time, I sent a video and they were able to confirm once they had the truck. My original rattle was LOUD... current rattle is there, but not as pronounced.

This is the same dealer that damaged my truck during it's first oil change. You would think they would treat me a little better for their mistake but they have been terrible and slow. Unfortunately, they are the closest for me at work to drop it off in the morning and have somebody run me back over to get it back at the end of the day.
