Looking to replace stock exhaust on my 2014 screw. Looking for a low, throaty, gutteral sound with no drone. Not as interested in the high frequency raspy sound. Thinking that the Borla/Ford Racing Touring versions might be a good choice, but recently the Dirty Deeds stainless steel side outlet exhaust has caught my eye. Seems to be really well engineered, simple, and no drone. Added bonus would be shaving a few pounds and not having the big exhaust outlets behind the rear tire to collect debris. Oh, and it's half the price.

Thoughts? What else should I be considering?

Any exhaust Lightning style that exits in front of tire is going to have drone in the cab louder than the others due to location of muffler

Love my Corsa sport, zero drone at highway speeds, trying to decide if I should add the resonator delete but not sure it's worth $200.

An exhaust shop should be able to throw in a 3" straight pipe for short$. I did it myself, I just need to have it tack welded now. Or learn how to weld myself!

@JoshLEO137 Like Joker said, it's super easy for a muffler shop to just cut out the resonator and replace it with straight pipe. My guy charged me $20! A lot better than $200. Yeah, I know the straight pipe isn't stainless, but who cares. I can always replace it for another $20 in 5-10 years if I still have the truck then, or I haven't messed with the exhaust again by then!

And yes, removing the resonator is a no brainer! Your corsa will maintain its no drone qualities but the growl when you floor it will just be better and louder. I see no negatives in deleting the resonator...especially with the Corsa. I can't see any reason why you would regret it in any way!

Well you pretty much sold me and I never even thought about having a muffler shop just put a section of pipe in there. I will get with some local muffler shops and see what they say. I live in a pretty small town so I might have to do some looking around. I love my Corsa, and the fact there is no drone, so if I can keep the no drone and get a bit better sound I agree there aren't any negatives.

Glad to help @JoshLEO137! I guarantee that you won't get any drone with the Corsa with no resonator. I think just about any muffler shop could easily cut out the resonator and put a straight pipe in. Its completely straight and very easy. Best of luck! You won't regret it!
