They replaced my ignition switch only because I told them that's what another dealership did. I knew my dealership couldn't think for themselves.

I'll let you guys know what comes of it in the next few days.

Thanks for updating us. Work got crazy so I have been ignoring this issue for now. I'd love to know if changing the ignition switch solved the problem for you.

So here's a run down so far.

Got out of work around 330pm so the truck sat for a good 8 hours yesterday (4/30)
I started her up and immediately cranked the HVAC system and switched it to driver side vents only. It was about 55 degrees out.

There was a smell still but it wasn't as strong as it has been and lasted 20 to 30 seconds.

This morning around 7am (5/1) on my way to work I did the same thing and I could smell a remnant smell but it literally lasted 10 seconds. Temperature outside was about 45 degrees.

Looking good so far but I'll progressively keep updating this thread for all those interested.

This was a bust.... I still have the smell and have another appointment this Tuesday...

That sucks. I've noticed the smell doesn't seem to be as strong as it was a few weeks ago, but it's definitely there when I turn on the fan.

Thanks for keeping us updated.

I am guessing it's because we don't have cabin air filters but that's just a guess

'13 Limited

I had a '13 Limited SC for about 50k miles and had this electrical smell from time to time, however the smell was weaker as time went on. Now I'm getting same smell in my '14 Raptor SC ????

Hi dfelicia and jdaallen,

Mention this the next time you guys are in for service at the dealer; getting concerns like this documented and diagnosed is the best next step. I'll continue to hang out on this thread in case you guys need me to step in and help. :)
