2010 Scab...flushed tranny, replaced some Stainless Works exhaust parts with newer SW parts, fired it up, electric fans immediately kicked on (stone cold engine) and won’t shut off, wrench icon appeared. Any ideas?

Flushed Transmission How?
By disconnecting driver side transmission line in front of radiator, adding fresh fluid, starting truck to initiate flush, turn off, repeat until fresh fluid comes out of disconnected line. This was after dropping pan and installing new filter then reinstalling pan.

There is a thermostatic valve in the transmission set at 170 degrees to fully open up.
When the dealers do a complete tranny flush,
they have to have the transmission at least above 170 to full operating temp before starting.
Plus it's a power flush unit meaning the truck doesn't run when they do the flush.

You probably have so much air in the tranny it's going to take a while before things start working correctly.
Have you put the truck though all the gears?

You can try a battery disconnect to get rid of the wrench light.
And kept checking the fluid level. I believe the truck thinks the tranny is overheating.
Eventually the torque converter should start pumping again without foaming the fluid once you have enough fluid in the tranny.

Thanks for the info. I’ve run through all the gears while idling, but haven’t driven the truck yet. Disconnected battery yesterday for a few hours, wrench came back. Disconnected battery again and let it sit overnight, will reconnect later today and see what happens. Plan to drive it today and will recheck fluid level. Thanks again.

Ive been running the SCT 89 tune for years. So to clarify, when I reconnect battery if wrench comes back, are you saying I may be able to get rid of wrench by uninstalling the tune, then reinstalling the tune? If so, I will try that, anything to avoid going to a dealer. I was planning to go to Autozone and have them pull the code if wrench comes back.

You can use the SCT device check codes and clear the pending codes!

A battery disconnect only clears pending codes, I have heard that some claim it cleared permanent ones.
I've never been able to with my 2010 1/2, I always had to go back to stock and reload the Tune, and for good measure then do a battery disconnect.
Our 2010 1/2 PCM has different software architecture then the 2011-2014

Do yourself a big favor when you go back to stock update the SCT device to the latest firmware.
There have been major firmware updates!!!

OMG, forgot about that, duh...so got the code PO713, which is a trans fluid temp high circuit fault. So I did replace the transmission bulkhead sleeve because the old one was leaking. Guessing I may not have seated it in far enough, which then means the female electrical connector won’t reach the male pins of the transmission, thus throwing a code. Really p### me off because I checked that the sleeve was installed correctly. Looks like I’m dropping the transmission pan again AFTER I drop the exhaust again so I can access the rear pan bolts.
Thanks so much for your help, much appreciated!
