Educate me on wheels...

When you are moving to a full floater I would think wheel bores are the least of your concerns.

Perhaps I didn't talk to the right person but I tried twice getting Weld to let me make some changes to the finish of my wheels and they wouldn't budge.

And yeah I noticed that about their site a few weeks ago. I do think they still sell them but apparently they are more interested in pushing the bro dozer wheels these days. They probably sell a lot more of those. Most people who are going to actually take their truck off road are hesitant to spend the kind of money Welds cost, which is something that I completely understand.

While I agree bores are probably the last of your worries I don't know of any other company that offers rims that can accommodate full floaters off the bat. So in that sense it could become a huge issue. I don't ever plan on going that far so this is merely speculation on my part.

@Dirtypope how much of a pain was it to swap in the bead lock rings? I've been thinking about doing that to mine but I don't have a 2nd roller set to get the tires dismounted, and I don't want to truck back and forth doing 1 at a time to the tire shop.

I was the biggest pain in the ass lol I went to 10 different places and finally I found the place where they deal with race cars and they did for me on the spot. Cash money, no receipt, close deal. It makes the tire super wide plus and when u take your truck off-road there is no ultimatum and they look dope!

Beadlocks are a PITA. Even without the true beadlock rings they are a pain. Unless you need them I am not sure why peeps run them.

The fact that you went to 10 shops before anyone would touch them says it all. Imagine having a flat while traveling? I highly advise bead-lock guys to remove your spares and have them balanced. The spares on our trucks are not balanced so should you ever need them they will shake like a ****.

I take my truck off-road all the time and I run them low psi to the extreme so yeah I use them and they look bad ass!

I don’t mind do them my self it’s easy. U just need to break the front side of the beat and take your time

There shouldn't be a need to go to 10 shops. Just take it to an off road shop the first time.

Trust me I did. One place told me they dont do Ford wheels and another place said to bring the wheels only and they will do it all 4 for 400 bucks. No thank you

As this is an Easy Bay Area company, this should go double for you Nor Cal/Bay Area Raptor owners. @Nick@Apollo-Optics - I don't know if they do authorized dealers but I do know you can reach a greater market than me - also seem to remember you saying you had people in the area, maybe that could be our in. Hope this info helps, all.

I reached out to those guys back in 2014 to do some SCS wheels for the Raptor community. They weren’t interested then and looks like they still aren’t. Not really sure why, honestly.
