The G2 axle shafted have 31 spline which I think(?) is up 1 from the previous model. As has previously been discussed --at length-- the e-locker won’t engage in 2h because this was seen as a failure point in the <cough> higher horsepower iterations of the G1 <cough> they specifically called out the supercharged 6.2 as being bit harsh on the rear end.
So yes, there’s plenty of hp potential in the eco’ but there is a weak link in every drive train. Fortunately we have beta testers like @Guy, @Bullishone, etc. exploring the tune options, more power and over time we’ll see what parts they break. Thanks guys !
OEMs design for longevity, so while the drivetrain will handle bigger HP today and tomorrow, those rear ends might not make it to 100k. The silver lining is driveshafts and differentials are a lot easier and less expensive to replace than motors and transmissions.
