Depends on the bank. Credit score is the biggest factor in rate and the best leverage a buyer has when looking for financing.

i'd agree with that statement...just wanted to be clear than money down can help your rate...it helped my rate that i got the loan below 30k.

I called my wife, since she's the expert in this matter and she confirmed that some banks do take that into consideration, so you were right about that. She added that a buyer should first negotiate the rate without mentioning a cash down payment just to see what your rate is w/o it. If you're happy with the rate offered and think it'd be more wise to keep the down payment, then do so. Or you can use the extra money as leverage to lower your rate even more if the bank allows that option. She also added that if you have a credit score of 730 (which is generally considered the number required for the best rates) or higher, your rate should already be pretty close to if not at the banks lowest advertised rate. Down payment in that circumstance will most of the time only be beneficial in lowering your monthly payment if you so desire.

I'm ecstatic to hear that RACE RED will be an option!!! I will OWN THAT ONE!... I've been playing the waiting game until my Durango is paid off and then I was going to pull the trigger.

Well, It got paid off last month and this is GREAT NEWS (especially with the Red Accent Trim!!!)

By the way, I'm a Finnce Manager with a Buick/GMC Dealership and I know that right now I can get into the 2.25% rate for 60 months or upper 2.90 - 3.30% for 72 months on well qualified buyers!

Harris Bank also offers rates into the 1.5% range if you're willing to pay off in less than 2 years (What I did with my Durango)...every little bit helps if I don't have to pay it out unneccessarily!

These were the seats in my 2004 Blazing Yellow FX4 that I had done back in Nov '03. Absolutely Loved them:

Unless I find a hell of a deal somewhere else in Texas, I'd say you already have my business come September (or whenever the 12's come out if it's later than September). Dealers around my area are a joke for everyday purchases, but even more so on raptors; wanting 56 and 58k for loaded crewcabs and no haggling what so ever.. I have been trying to patiently wait on the 12's to decide between red, silver or blue and see what interesting new features might come up.
