E&G Console Gun Vault

Just ordered one from Apollo after my truck got broken into and they stole the Accessport. Looking forward to installing it.

Hate that your truck got broken into, but you'll be in good hands with this vault. My Super Duty was broken into a couple months back and they didn't mess with the E&G at all.

Ordered my from Nick at Apollo Optics last week. Got some stereo box carpet (self adhesive) to use as liner and keep my valuables from getting scuffed up.

PSA for the dim-witted (me!)

When installing, at the point it calls for a pry bar under the back right of the console to lift, don't go under the console more that about 2 inches as there are numerous wires and expensive looking electronic modules under there.............DAMN!

Appears all is good though.......

It is a a beast..........need to get some speaker felt or similar, or maybe one of those Amazon (I should divest of them!) handgun holders.

installed yesterday and am very pleased with how it turned out. A great feature.

Lovin mine. And yeah, it’s a beast. Like the fact you get some room that is unlocked as well. Ordered some foam and spray adhesive to round out the interior.

Is the safe able to be installed either way? Thought the lock was near the front of the console and the hinge opened where the main console

Interesting...........appears your safe is hinged on the front of the console?

Looks reversed compared to all the other install pics I have seen. Hoping it can still be mounted with the main hinge near the hinge of the center console so they both open the same way. Also easier to get to the lock if it’s at the front.

Mine opens the same way the console opens. Thought was the only way and in my eyes the best.
