Dumping the exhaust? (before the rear axle)

I dunno, maybe my definition of "drone" is a bit different. When I think of drone, I think of a resonance that rattles/shakes the cab and everything in it, or hits your ear making you feel like you're wearing muffs. Nothing even approaching either has occurred due to me cutting the tips off. Its louder from the outside for sure (probably because like Jason said its pointing to the ground) but from inside the cab I can't tell any difference whatsoever at any speed.

YMMV

I did this as, and haven't noticed any sound difference inside the cab.

The shop cut it off just passed the muffler, and angled the tips down towards the ground. The tips do kind of point towards each other, I've heard that doing that could reduce drone. Not sure if that's why he did that, or if it's even true - but like I said, no difference in sound just a cleaner look.

I am thinking of cutting mine off right after the stock muffler, eliminating the last hanger, which I think I need to do for my RPG kit anyhow. Does anyone have any experience with doing it this way? I was just planning on doing it myself with the sawzall.

HA HA Thanks J - I was gonna post that. Heck, I'll post it anyway since it's on my clipboard :D

I've NEVER heard ANY difference between the stock exhaust location (not a good place if you actually take your Raptor offroad) and this modified location.

I personally don't care for the stock double pipe side look anyway.

I'd like to eliminate the rear hanger. Don't I have todo that for the RPG kit?
Nosir. It works just fine with the stock exhaust. Install is easier with the pipes cut off for sure, but its very doable with them still there.
