Thanks for the responses everyone. Jeff gave me a couple of names.

Any thots about using a collision shop versus bringing back to dealer and having them do the body work and them subbing it out as needed (i.e. to SVC and others)?

damn. thats right off the 55 where it turn into newport right?.. lots of DD in that area

Yes that's the spot and i actually saw another wreck on the way home about a quarter mile back towards PCH.

That's a bummer but a typical scene at the Goat... Come on over to Theodore Robins Ford on Harbor blvd. It's my families dealership and we can be mod friendly. Let me know if you're interested and I will put you in touch with the body shop manager. We are a @svc authorized repair facility. Thanks for the plug Jeff.

Thanks everyone for all the help and suggestions...and the guesswork on whether or not my rig has the podium package (that did sound like a remarkably well-informed guess now that you mention it). Really appreciate you guys taking the time.

Hopefully in the not-too-distant future, i'll be posting picks of a meticulously repaired and ready-to-rock Raptor.

Umm. How'd you know that?

Lol, first thing I saw was the blue svc on the LCA and then up front I saw the dual suspension, then I saw the light tower, then I saw the spare tires and I knew it was fully built. You can say I have a decent eye lol

Hi all,
My Raptor was parked in Costa Mesa, CA Friday nite when a DD clobbered it. He hit it right between the back of the rear quarter-panel and tire on the driver's side. The impact was strong enough to break the back axle off and pop my [newly installed] bypass suspension tubes (fyi, there's a lot of fluid inside those, not that i wanted to know that). It also pushed the truck about 6 feet forward and up over a curb.

Mercifully, no one was injured.

I now need to get it to a body shop and would appreciate any recommendations on top-notch places around Orange County. Who would you trust to work on your own truck? Any thoughts about going to dealer as opposed to an independent (especially for a fully-kitted truck with lots of aftermarket mods).

Looking forward to any advice and names.
thx so much!!!

I didn't witness the crash, but apparently he got out of his car and started to stumble away. Some quick-thinking folks trailed him and hung on to him a bit up the road until the PD showed up and did indeed haul him off. I never actually saw him.
