Drivers door intermittently won’t open

Hello here’s my 2012 rig. Im having problems with the drivers door intermittently not opening from either the door unlock button or the key fob or key cylinder. The only way to open it is go in from the passenger side and open it from the inside and then It’s ok for a bit. I can’t figure out if the rod is binding or and issue with the latch or the actuator and unfortunately It’s intermittent and when it happens i don’t have time to diagnose the issue properly. Does anyone have any insight, thanks.

It was the door latch if anyone’s interested, i changed it out and now It’s fine.

Nice, thinking I have an issue with one of my door latches as my alarm keeps going off talking about door entry.

Yeah I watched the video on it. Should take a few hours tops. I've been all in there doing door deadener so familiar that aspect atleast.

its the actuator. the latch and actuator are one assembly. vibrations take its toll on door locks. lots of people have had problems with door actuators

So if my eyes get blurry is that enough vibration to cause it to malfunction? lol

i had the same issue but initially i thought it was the outside door handle going out because the inside handle worked fine. i ended up replacing both handles and latch. tooo much plastic
