During cold weather less than 25 degrees, the entire NAV screen would be dead until the temperature in the cab got warm and a new recycle of ignition (turn the truck off, open door, turn on). For the benefits on the NAVTV, it wasn't worth it to me and possible voided warranty without having to take apart the dash to remove and back and forth if you ever had to bring it to the dealership for warranty. I heard later there was an firmware update to resolve this.

Plus the heated seats in the 14' doesn't have a hard button and you have to rely on the NAV screen to activate, dead screen = cold ass.
God to know. Thank you.

On my 2013, once I had NAV TV installed, I never experienced these issues. We get quite a bit colder than Rick does down there and it worked every day, every start-up, every time.

Noah said it was happening on some of them and was somewhat rare. Of course, I had to have one of those rare ones, just my luck....

the nav TV issue was a rare case. about 6 that I have heard of out of the hundereds of units i sold. here in Colorado, mine is still performing fine without the update nav TV has available. regardless, I'm sorry you had issues with it. also happy you found out what the horn honk problem was.

Anyone know why it would be double honking when I try to lock it and set the alarm via the remote? I've checked all the doors and it still does it.

Maybe check the hood contact switch?

Have you checked the hood switch just to make sure? Or you may have a door latch that's starting to go, but that's much less likely.

Thanks everyone. That apparently was it, problem solved. I was working on that side last weekend removing the wires left over from the NAVTV removal and had to solder wire back to get the front camera working. I must of leaned on that hood switch bracket and bent it down a little.
