Is it more of a ticking sound or rattling sound?

little of both actually. Some times it was faint and sometimes loud. If Ford would put a descent sound system then I could turn it up and ignore the rattles LOL.

The ticking noise comes from the adhesive holding the sheet Ford puts over the wires inside the door. This adhesive will stick then unstick as things vibrate. This sticking and unsticking is the ticking noise you hear. I have a thread somewhere that tells you how to fix it.

I went down a road today that normally made the rattle go crazy and didn't hear nothing at all. So for my problem the tubing worked great. I just wished I would have know about it on the last two King Ranch I have had because they had the same damn noise. Oh yeah, I did try first the 3/8" tubing in the door seal like the youtube video on here shows but that had no effect on my rattle. I found the door too hard to close all the way.
