Has anything been done to keep the damn doors from swinging wide open? I can't believe they didnt design the hinges to catch in more of a mid position.

Anyone know of any fixes for this? I hate having to prop the door against the car beside me when opening the suicide door (best option to keep it from slamming......)

You prop your door up against other people's car in public? If I saw someone do that to my vehicles I would blow my top! No offense. Just sayin! My rule is to hold the door with my hand bc I will never touch another persons car or truck.

When my hands are free that is the method... In this particular case, I had a hand full of groceries I needed to put in the back. To set them down before opening the rear door, I'd have to set them BEHIND the rear door (or under my feet), which would require me to simultaneously, and oh so carefully, hold the front door off their car while swinging the rear door open and closed to get to the groceries set behind the rear door....

Propping the door against their moulding didnt hurt them and was a better option than letting the door swing into the car...

I still say the door retainer (?) is poorly designed...

Bump. I’m having the same issue. Doors swing wide open and don’t catch at the same point most other vehicles do. This is one of the biggest issues i have with this truck.

The doors swing out with enough speed to dent/scratch my car or someone else’s.

Poorly designed mechanism by Ford.

Anyone have any options now?
