Early posts in this thread talk about trucks shutting down at 107..don't understand this as I saw 109 on mine today before I backed out, without it shutting down..225 miles on it, took delivery Monday.it was still pulling strong.

So question is..did Ford make some changes on the limiters in the lastest tucks built?

Factory gauges are notoriously inaccurate. Or, with respect to Ford's oil pressure gauges for the last few decades, fake.

Aren't you happy with the Gen1? Unless you have like 3+ very different vehicles that you use regularly, why buy the two of the same thing? There's a lot of awesome vehicles out there that aren't a Raptor. Get an off-road capable SUV instead (the Infiniti QX80 a la new Nissan Armadas are quite badass!). Or a convertible sports car (Boxster? F-Type? Corvette?) Or a sports sedan (S4/S5, M3/M5, C/E class AMG?). I mean, there's so many choices in the price range of a '17 Raptor that you could pick from instead of having two of the same?!? If it was me, I would keep my Raptor and buy something entirely different as a second vehicle, and then when they're reliable enough and in my personal preference, have a V8, sell my Gen1 and get a Gen2! If that doesn't happen, just keep the Gen1 - it's an amazing truck with absolutely no problems!!

My two cents: wait it out.

I have over 7K miles on mine with absolutely zero issues. No one in the Houston area has had issues either to my knowledge.
