The Gunner crates look nice but are only recommended up to 110 lbs. My girl is gonna b larger than that.

I use a Leer shell for my 3 boys. Get a decent quality one and it looks pretty good. They have plenty of room, are protected from the elements, and I can pull the dog beds out and have my bed when I need it. I also have the racks on top for kayaks or ...?

the impact crates are airline approved and some are collapsible. Thats why i like them. my impact crates are used for everything. truck, house, travel, fly. everything.
But they are expensive if you have multiple dogs. The owens link i posted above is a DIY kit. Owens makes outstanding truck bed dog crates. I dont use one because the impact is lighter and airline approved so it fills many uses. But owens diy kit is basically just their door, vents and some corners. You add plywood walls and you have a budget version of their nice crates. I might be building one of these for a freind of mine who needs a truck box but cant afford an impact.
I really really want an Impact crate but alas I have 5 German Shepherds. I have emailed them numerous times asking for a 5 crate discount but I get crickets every time.
I plan on getting the same setup. Do you have the dogs restarained inside the shell? Or just free?
This is the best pic I could find for leaving the dog in the bed.... (and my best Canadian attempt at topical American political humour).
