Been having major issues loading my JDM tune via SCT x4 ever since an IC pipe blew off and threw a CEL. No matter what i did or SCT told me to do I could not get my aftermarket tune loaded. They sent me a new SCT X4 device and am having similar issues. I can't see it being a Device or tune file issue, my next guess would be I need a dealer reflash back to stock and try to load from there? Thoughts? I don't wanna hit the stealership if it won't do any good.

Did you backup the stock tune before trying to install aftermarket tune? Was the after market tune or stock tune loaded when the IC pipe blew off? If you did back up stock tune, are you receiving the same loading issue trying to reinstall it?

Have you tried it connected to a battery charger?

stock tune was backed up and the aftermarket tune was loaded when the pipe blew loose. Truck runs but I can’t load a tune. Makes me wonder if the ECU is hosed or locked from an aftermarket going on.

I assume you tried to clear the CEL codes with the tuner? Will the tuner do ANY basic functions like read engine stats, boost, etc.? It's a long shot, but try disconnecting your battery for 30 mins to try resetting some of the modules. Any friends with other brand tuners you can try since the replacement from SCT did the same thing?

i did. It reads stats just can’t load any tune even if I wanna go back to stock. Stuck in a loop. Not sure I can borrow a tuner seeing they are all tied to serial numbers Right?
