...and they are protecting the paint, which you also paid extra for.

That's one reason I like them on my truck. Plus, I think they look boss on the Silver.

Rip it off. IMO that has to be the dumbest idea I've seen on any Ford make, were not 2 year old's playing with hot wheels.

What I tend to see is the people in their 20's tend to like them and the older owners tend to not. Obviously a few exceptions. But it seems overall to be when you get a lil older you like more stock looking and cleaner mature type looks. IMO. I think this is why your asking the question in the first place perhaps.
