Differential fluid change - do I need friction modifier?

lol. You guys are going to find that all the 75-140's already have it added. This thread is getting comical.

Aw MCR, you're just being nice. Actually, this thread is thorough. The question isn't the friction modifier any more, because thanks to the group we've resolved it. The question is now whether to use 75W-140 or 75W-85. Me thinks maybe you don't want to contemplate replacing your gear oil with the right stuff! (hee-hee!) ;)

We'll know soon because Crystal is on the job!

2013+ model year raptors do not have the same rear differentials as the 2010-2012 model year raptors, wiz covered this (I believe in his build thread, not exactly sure where it is though), the 2013+ has larger axle shafts with more splines engaging the axle shafts to the spider gears in the differential
