If all you want from a vehicle is to get from A to B, then don't pay ADM. Don't even pay MSRP. Don't buy a Raptor. Heck, don't even buy new.

Asking why someone wants a Raptor now is kind like asking why buy a Raptor when a F150 XLT can get you from A to B.
Bro, it's a simple question. Being rhetorical with your immature response is unwarranted. Secondly, the question was to imply why the rush. Smart guy. Grow up, boy.

If all the dealers agree to $15k ADM, then buyers will be forced to pay it!
Forced to pay it, you say! I’ll never be ”forced“ by any dealer to pay jack for ADM! Remember, the dealer don’t control your wallet…you do! Let’s be smart here! You’re putting way too much control in the dealers hand vs the buyers. If all buyers agree not to pay it, then what happens?

Claims my response is immature, but then starts name calling. Ok.

OP stated why he bought now instead of later in around the 4th post.

Not all the context in which I made the statement.

I’ve read all of your context and just stating that no one, well me in particular, should be “forced” by any dealer to pay ADM. Also, I was continuing on with your “what if” scenario. Again, if all buyers agree not to pay ADM, then what happens?

Eh, it'll never happen, but if it did I would dealers would lobby Ford to adjust MSRP more frequently to accurately reflect market value. It would also probably result in Ford requiring new car buyers to commit to a year without reselling the vehicle....which Ford is doing with the Lightning. Ok, I guess it does happen!

it is 2022, any new car on any lot is going for sticker or better.

Used car prices are up over 50% from 2 years ago, and all manufacturers are struggling to keep production lines open. I read that Ford and Toyota are considering seeling incomplete bvehicles where some component (like rain-sensing wipers or split HVAC) is not functional due to some chip missing.

Slightly related fact...Autotrader sent me a message saying my 2018 is worth what I paid for it since it only has 21k miles. That makes we wonder about a Gen3.

Not “any” new car but yes many of them. Especially when buyers walk in with a blank check.

Up 50% is far fetched. I’m sure there are some special cases but not an average of 50%.

Many manufacturers have been releasing modified builds for at least a year now. They have attached promises to add said feature later or just take it or leave it.

What you received from Autotrader is marketing. They just want you to get up and visit a dealer. These types of emails or mail flyers are sent in normal markets. “We have buyers looking for your car now …call in before this date to receive top dollar on your trade.”
