lol great question and doubtful. In fact they will probably just go up in price each quarter and it takes about a month to get one since they are made after you place the order.

I believe they offer a Military Discount, I personally have never even them on sale

Yeah and even then it's not a ton.

When my truck ships (hopefully in the next week or two) I'm ordering the SE in the smooth black. Really excited to have lockable storage on the truck.

Can you open and close your tailgate without opening the cover?

You can, but you will wear out the rear seal.
When you install it, you can control how tightly it seals by the height of the locking bars that go under the lip of the bed rails inside.
I personally have mine set so that I have to push down lightly to twist the lock.
