Took my truck to SDHQ offroad in Gilbert, AZ to get a new set of deaver rear leaf springs installed. Took a couple hours and they had the truck back in my hand, I have been very impressed by their service, helpfulness and quality of work every time I’ve used them. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for anything you may need.

They make the stockers look like junk aesthetically ( I know this is unimportant but it’s a nice touch), I count eleven different springs to the stockers three.

Now, as for the ride, it feels great. Around town the little axle “stutter” (for lack of a better word) over bumps is gone and the rear end feels much more compliant over curbs and various other bigger hits. This is odd considering when outside of the truck, it feels stiffer when you push down on the bumper.

Offroad, I’m thrilled. Ive only been able to try it for a couple hours on my local trails and it is loads better than it was previously. It feels better everywhere, less bottoming and generally a more damped feel. It vibrates a lot less and little stuff that made it dance around out back before is much less noticeable. On my favorite little jump, I feel like the rear suspension is finally working! Landings feel like they actually utilized more of the stroke and my back end doesn’t pogo around. Its much more confidence inspiring. I know the price can sound steep for a pair of leaf springs, but, to me, they were worth every penny. The back finally matches the front.
Im heading out to Borrego this coming weekend and I’ll post up an amendment with my expanded off-road findings.

SDHQ also fabbed up a littled boxed bump-stop contact point, as the deavers eliminate the stock rear block and without it the bump stop contacts just the axle.

Here’s the pics:

Awesome Jake...my sentiments exactly!!!!

The bump stop location isn't moved with Deavers. The only thing that block is doing is moving the contact point of the bump stop up. Not sure why they did that. I had mine installed at Deaver and I'm utilizing all the stock bump stop setup. My guess is with the brackets on the front of the springs it looks like there may be metal to metal contact under full compression....there isn't. Lots of off-road and no contact with the brackets and frame.

Nice Jake! This is sounding more and more like a viable mod.

Which, now that I think on it, is kinda odd. From what I understand, SVT spent lots of time back there getting the leafs 'right'; they're considerably softer than stock F150 springs, and utilize Berlin eye ends (not sure if the stock F150 does too?)

Not that it really matters, but has Deavers advised on the new payload capacity and/or towing capacity with these springs?

The Raptor leafs and F150 leafs are the same stack...the Raptor uses a leveling block to raise the rear end higher than a stock f150...not too much development time and $$$ spent on that design.

Deaver does say the load hauling capability is 10% less...but I disagree. The Deavers have much more control with load than the stock setup especially in turns. There is about a 1/2" more squat with this Deaver setup but the bottoming resistance is greater and roll is decreased.

Did the Deavers raise the rear?

This setup lowers the rear an inch....they are working on another design to have the rear end at stock height. I'll be getting a set of those when they are ready.

That is my question, would these new springs be too stiff for stuff like jumping?

Deavers are better for going fast across rough terrain and jumping. The springs are stiffer when you push on the rear of the truck but they are much more compliant and fluid.

Are they same measurements from eyelet to eyelet? I'm really curious if they are or not
Since Ford didn't spend much time on R&D for the Raptor pack I doubt they did much of anything to make the pack a different length than a stock F1. If that is the case than a F150 Race pack thats $700 retail will work just fine over the $1300 pack.
The Raptor and standard F1 leaf pack might be "sprung" differently and you would need to talk to Deaver about that, but the likelyness of anyone telling the difference will be minimal if any
