that will eventually crack and them moisture will get trapped causing more rust over time. Deaver used to powder coat them on special orders, they no longer will do it. Using AMSOIL HDMP is your best defense.

I glad you mentioned that because when I read that post, the first thing that came to my mind was I wonder if they would crack.

Yes as its easier but you can do afterwards. Happens quite often because people see afterwards and do it then. Just clean them up good and mask off around it.

I do used my undercarriage w/ 6 cans of the stuff (including dropping spare) when my truck was new. Best thing I’ve ever done w/ a new vehicle. Now I just have shop do A touch up to it during an oil change W/ 1-2 cans worth once a year....August or sept when nice & dry but before winter obvi

Thanks for all the input guys, hopefully this thread is useful for those out there looking to install deavers.

One last thing I am thinking about are the eyelet bushings provided by Deaver. Do they get squeaky? Thinking of using some grease when installing.

Mine dont squeak, but i had RPG install them, so dont know if you need grease or not, I would think most use some sort of lube just to get them in though, IDK.
