I'm curious if anyone has experience with the +3 Deavers (1" lift) part number K96. I just installed mine and the rear looked higher than 1" lift that is stated for these springs. I drove it on/off road for several hundred miles to see if they settled, and they didn't. The measurement from ground to bottom of wheel well is 45" with stock shackles.

I called Deaver and asked if this was normal or what I could have done wrong. They said that I needed to tighten the shackles while the weight of the truck was on the ground (which I did not). I'll be doing that soon. I'm also going to be checking the shocks as well.

Does anyone here have any experience with these leaf springs being too high even for the stated 1" lift?

In my experience, the +3 needs weight in the back of the truck to achieve the 1 inch lift over stock height.
I run an RPG extended shackle to get it to sit where I like it.

I keep hearing the extended shackle will lower the back end accordingly, and also benefits articulation, is that true?

Would love to see pics of how high your back end is now, cuz I was thinkin' of getting K96HD's and hope it's not too much!! Mostly drive bed empty, but tow a bass boat to the lake now and then. How do you use yours and has it settled since your post?

This is with a 37inch spare in the back, no other weight
