Here is an update - The Government is shut down and DV is closed. So unless they re-open soon this is a no-go.

Other than that this will be a little spontaneous -
I have people in for SEMA that want to go to DV so they want to do Nov 9-11 (Sat-Mon) but my sons soccer state tournament is Nov 7-9th in Reno- so if they make it that far I might be in Reno. Still would like to go on the 18-20.
So currently the plan is to go on Nov 9-11th but if that falls thru and I am in Reno I still would like to go on Nov 18-20th.
The Government might shut the whole thing down and still have DV closed. If so I will probably do something short and local to Vegas just to get out and camp- like the Arizona Strip area.

Still think all us off-roaders from Fords, Jeeps and Toyotas need take some backroads into a closed National park to make a stand about closing down "OUR" Parks that we pay for. They can't shut down all the trailheads. :D

Wont be doing Echo and rock crawling still the plan would be:
Drive in and camp at Armagosa Dunes - Free camping and some sand to play in(Flags required).
Day 2 - Run Titus canyon then out to Eureka Dunes and camp there for the night. Day3 - Backtrack in with a short stop at Scotty's Castle, then down the Racetrack rd to the Racetrack in the morning. Up and over Hunter mountain out to hwy 190 just west of Panamint Springs.
Might adjust depending on the day/time we leave.

LOL, you want to get mad, all the people that are suppose to be running the parks but are sitting home, there going to get paid anyway as soon as the Government agrees to de-fund Obama care...

New raptor owner here that would be down for a DV run once it opens back up. Can't do it SEMA week cause I'll be partying in Vegas, and the weekend after I'll be in Glamis.

Will hopefully you guys get to do this run because I'm planning on getting out there for a Vegas run of some sort. If this run turns out well, hopefully you guys can duplicate this run as a yearly run.

You guys want to make sure the places you want to go are open, not sure if you can make it to the Eureka Dunes from Beatty without having to make a MAYOR detour. When I was in DV a couple of weeks ago road were still washed out.

Echo Canyon for first time off-roader...hopefully you'll have some experienced spotters!

Actually been searching youtube videos for Raptors in Echo Canyon wondering how they would do there without any luck, but seeing how the OP did with the Tundra it should be fine.

With all the closures and had a few people that backed out - This is not gonna happen right now. Hopefully we can make the trip in the spring.

I am probably going to Beatty the 15th, most likely do Echo Canyon and some Beatty wash / mining trails and possibly a trip to Goler wash
