I would love it if you guys plan it for when Aaron is home. He's been pretty depressed about missing every single run that is near us.

Well life gets busy and the Desert got HOT!! How does October sound? I know my kids will have stuff going on but if I don't set a date it won't happen. LOL
What does everyone like to do? Back country Camp, Campground or Hotel? That will depend on the route and give us some time to reserve rooms at Panamint Springs, Furnace Creek. Would like to do Eureka Dunes maybe on a full moon - explore the dunes by moonlight(too bad we can't drive on them) Anything else anybody interested wants to see?

Wait. You're going to do a DV trip and you're going to stay in hotels?! Seriously?!

We usually Motel 6 it in Beatty, when I take groups through there... Allows for less setup time and 2 FULL days.

I've also done 4 days in Death Valley and camped 3 nights... Gotta say it was pretty amazing, we just didn't cover nearly as much ground each day, which is OK too! Nothing like being woken up by the burrows and coyotes screaming back and forth at 6AM!

I camp but since I dont know any of you guys - I thought I better put the hotel thing in there. Personally I would like to camp at Eureka Dunes one night.

Eureka Dunes would be so cool to camp at! Funny, we just talked about this with the group I ran through there last weekend... and how it would be cool to camp at the dunes!

But, you're also spot on in assuming that some won't want to camp. I know MANY people that I've done trips with that DO NOT like to camp, and spouses that will refuse to go unless there's a hotel in the mix, haha!!!

So it's different strokes for different folks... I like both!

That's better than some things that I've woken up next to!!
It was funny, because somebody the night before said "Just wait for your wake-up call" and we had no idea what he was talking about... Then sure as shit, right at sunrise the coyotes started howling, then the burrows started yelling back in reply...

It was actually really cool.
