He probably couldn't take the razzing. I'm guessing that he was fresh off the boat and thought buying a car was like going to Walmart to buy socks. Poor guy.

Yup. I just can't figure how some people just can't muster up the least bit of common sense.

Asian name, not a native English speaker, he probably had common sense back home. Here, most businesses are honest. Car dealers, not so much. I think he got blindsided.

Man I really enjoyed reading that thread back when it was all happening. For whatever reason I was just entertained, minus that poor goof getting taken to the cleaners.

As for your deal @hyrepower I think you did well considering Vegas and west coast prices. I flew to Texas and drove back, which I factored into the price when considering my options.
