Sounds like it could be for the remote start....right?

What's strange is that the blue 3M connectors aren't actually doing anything in their current state. They must have been used for something at one point, but the way they sit in the pictures, they're nothing other than wire taps with nothing connected to them.

My guess is this is the leftover of some dealer installed option like remote start or anti theft thing. you know- one of those options that dealers install on everything and then try to railroad the ultimate buyer into paying way to much for.
If it was mine, I would remove those troublesome 3M connectors, make sure the wires don't have any damaged strands, then properly tape them up.

My truck was the Dealership Owners Demo Truck and already has factory remote start.

It must of been some kind of alarm or lojack??

My truck had somthing similar installed on the drivers kick panel...I opted for a gps tracker similar to lo jak and upon reviewing some of the terms i decided to take it off leaving two exposed t taps. Maybe this is what the dealer had installed on yours, and removed it after you purchased it.

Im getting some rigids wired up soon by Noah. Im going to have him remove and (hopefully not have to) repair any broken strands they damaged. Read about too many horror stories of t taps damaging wires to leave them on.
