Dealer Refuses To Order

Asked about ordering a Raptor and this is what I was told.

Are the raptors on a allotment to the dealer?


Unfortunately, the Raptor is pre-sold and it is sold out for us for the year. We won't see the Raptor until November or December but we have had deposits and contracts on them for about a year. Each dealer only gets a couple of them. We will see 9 for the whole year. They all sold for $5000 over sticker price. So about $75K each. I wish I could help but we would be looking at a 2018.

For now dealers were given a certain amount of allocations. If they have 9 and sold 9 they are done till ford says otherwise. At least they were honest with you. Keep looking. A few people have found dealers that still have available allocations and are selling at or close to MSRP.

Local dealer told me he had 5 and 4 were sold asked if I wanted to order (I was have mine serviced, he was "more then willing" to take mine on trade).

Thanks, glad they were not blowing hot air up my "skirt" and being honest.

Will keep looking, but if I end up waiting tilL the mad rush is over it's all good.

didnt ford say that everyone who wants a new raptor will get one? but yet they are still only allocating a few to each dealership....... looks to be the game of who is going to pay more to get it first.

There will be lots of them, just like the 350. If you want one they can be had, my dealer has 4 "limited" 350's on the lot, pick your colour.
