Holy shit... this thread is amazing! I am an elementary school teacher in SOCAL, and I’m trying to get the virus. I have purposely put myself in several circumstances with people who have tested positive (if that’s even true), and I’m not getting sick. Who knows, maybe I have it or had it, but I am not “showing” symptoms. I refuse to get tested because I refuse to be a statistic being used to spin a narrative. Whatever narrative that may be.

I love the “factual” information being shared on here even more, and how it is believed to carry some reliability or validity. Hah! Go take Stats 101 at your local community college, please! Nobody knows what they are talking about. Virus sustainability on surfaces... hah! Lysol wipes... hah! Negative pressured ionized air particle intrusion... hah!

Go pick up your truck and hope that the “virus” is still present, then maybe your “concerns” will be eliminated when you contact the “virus” and nothing fuc*ing happens. Or... roll the windows down drive it 70mph through the dust bowl whoops like it should be. I heard Baja desert dust and using the truck like it was meant to be eliminates the virus.

Inflated virus numbers from the media are similar to the inflated HP numbers from a tuned Raptor! “I know 37 people... cold air, hot air, blah blah blah! I heard if you stand on one foot, stick your right index finger in your nose, bark like a dog, buy $5,000 worth of Raptor accessories, and vote republican, the virus goes away!

This forum is awesome, and has a TON of quality information for all Raptor owners... but man, some of these threads are ridiculous. I just can’t help myself. Thanks for the entertainment.

Keep shredding y’all, I’m just being a **** to be a ****! All fun and games!

I think most of this fogging and stuff is likely just for our comfort in the end. I'd be fine with a Lysol job and some hand sanitizer, and I'm not convinced that's necessary.

The idea that heat kills the virus seems disproven by the current virus spread in AZ. It was 115 degrees in Phoenix this week while I was working down there.
It’s actually been proven. It just takes ~160 degrees to do it. That’s how hospitals are sanitizing N95 masks for reuse. The guy who invented them came out of retirement to figure it out and it’s been verified by other scientists.

I wouldn’t think a truck gets quite that hot but I’ve been to Phoenix in August and I would say it might get close.

My dealer in Colorado Springs sucks!! I got my truck back way dirtier than it went in!! Had black oily fingerprints all over the truck when I got it back. So I am very sure they did nothing as far as cleaning the inside of the truck for Covid. I did complain and got a response 2 weeks later that they would clean my truck and do better next time. Told them it was too late and there will not be a next time at that dealer. Might have to drive to Denver for any warranty work but I am fine with that.

AutoNation is using a Clorox 360 sanitization flogger machine on all customer vehicles nationwide. I was working at an AutoNation store yesterday and saw them using it diligently. I can’t speak to that actual store as I haven’t been there. If I lived in DFW I would go to Grapevine Ford and see my buddy, Tom.

They must pay teachers in CA way more than AZ if you can do that and drive a Raptor, or you got a sugar momma!

I measured the trunk of my sedan at over 160 a few times, the ARB fridge was working overtime but still held 32 degrees.

Police are heating their cruisers up to sterilize them. Id Park it in the sun with the heat on and give it a good wipe down.

I had mine in for service some weeks ago. They put a steering wheel wrap on and used a wipe on the door handles in and out before they took it back. That’s great for the tech. But when I got it back it had no protection on or have been wiped down that I could determine.

Covid is one thing and rather not contract it like others on here that want to and shall go nameless lol

But I also don’t care for hands that have been to pee breaks and go unwashed and laced in ball sweat either on my interior thank you. Mine shall be the only! With that said I just wiped all the touch surfaces and seats with alcohol and had the windows down on the way home. Then later reapplied protectant back to these areas. Since alcohol strips everything off. Along with a good sun bake and lots of UV, is all you can do. I didn’t lose any sleep over it.
