Allocation is over.
Raptor is NOT a limited production truck like for example a GT350. Ford will build as many Raptors as are ordered.
There was allocation at first like any new vehicle. But at this point if a dealer ordered 50 Raptors they would get 50. Don't let them tell you different. If they do go somewhere else. I bought mine for just over invoice. But I think I am certainly the exception. Most can't really seem to get much under MSRP if that. As I understand it you can't buy any special edition vehicles through any sort of commercial vehicle program.

This is not accurate, if a dealer could get 50 everyone would truck still has good demand. I work at a Ford store still only get allocated so many and larger dealerships get more than smaller ones.

I also have to echo the sentiment of inaccuracy. When I first spoke with my dealership about a Raptor, they said the wait would be around six months, since their allocated orders were all spoken for in Q4/Q1.

The salesman mentioned he could submit an order for a Limited or King Ranch and have it built in 6-8 weeks, but Raptors are only built during specific periods.

This would make sense, as Raptors are physically different than a standard F150. The frame and interior are the same, but there is still a strong likelihood that some retooling of the line is required for Raptor builds. So even though the Raptor is a fantastic truck, the XLT will still be their bread and butter.

If they order 50. They get 50.

They don't order 50 because they can't sell them at the insane markup for that. So they would rather sell Platinums etc if they are gonna knock 10k off.

Anyone who thinks a sales guy or a sales manager at the dealer tell the truth need their head checked.

To be fair to the sales guys they probably don't know the truth. Sales managers keep them in the dark on most things like this.

This makes no sense. They could sell them all day long at msrp and make more than selling a platinum or whatever at a discounted price. I ordered mine at msrp and it was their last allocation for the year.

Another vote for disagreement. I placed my order on 12/8 with a small dealer and he was trying to get it as his only allocation for Q4/Q1 with no guarantee from Ford of an additional allocation for this model year. Long story short, His only allocation had been submitted for production and my order is still sitting at Unscheduled - Clean. Spoke to a family member who just retired from Ford as a Regional Manager 6 months ago and he said that the Raptor is a Limited Production Model and my dealer may not get another one allocated.

Ford has stated they will build enough Raptors to meet demand.

Over a 4 year production run, yes. In each model year, no.

As any intelligent business would, Ford wants to spread production and sales across all the model years. It would be foolish and a poor allocation of resources to saturate the market in the early years and have few sales in the later years. At the moment Ford seems to be aiming for +/- 25k/yr.

My dealer said there were no more allocations either. All they have to have is a guaranteed buyer. You have to sign a contract give them a copy of your license and a down payment and they will build you a truck. They are building them in batches however and that could cause a delay. That’s from regional rep.

The reason for guaranteed buyer is they don’t want them sitting on the lot. There are a lot around here on the lot due to ADM. however if you’re a guaranteed buyer they will build one to your specs

A California member reported a local dealer that sells at MSRP has a two year wait list. That seems to refute your claim of guaranteed allocations for build to order.

Maybe?? That’s how I bought mine in Ohio. Exactly like that. Sign contract, copy of drivers license and deposit. They said they have to do that because dealers were ordering them without buyers in place and then trying to sell them with ADM and they do not want them to sit on the lot for long periods of time.
