Are these surface mount only mids or is it “confirmed” that these will, for certain, fit the corner dash mid locations?

They will fit, but just need a mounting adapter to utilize factory mounting points. We will get these on our website soon.
Here is a photo of the Focal K2M in the adapter:

"THIS ITEM IS A "PACKAGE ONLY" PRODUCT

What does this mean? Well, not all products are for the average DIY installers. Without proper training on the product, the test equipment for accurate setup, we restrict the sale of certain products for the trained professionals."

So by your last post, you will expand sell of these to non-trained professionals? Any descent, reputable shop can fabricate adapters...that's not the issue. Fitment is and you say they will fit. That's the info I was looking for. Thanks a bunch.

the speakers in a stock stereo are NOT the weakest link. You are burning money replacing speakers if you dont do amplification first.

when I did my systems over the course of a weekend, I did the speakers last, and ran the stock speakers on 700 watts of power for a night, and they were loud as hell and crystal clear compared to the stock amp.

replacing the speakers is like putting drag slicks on a stock 4cyl engine. they won't work if nothing is driving them.

You’re beating a dead horse and repeating what many others have said here...I get all of that. I have a JL VX800/8i pushing my speakers. I was simply curious as to what fit the stock location seeing that has never been answered/confirmed…till now.

We will not sell the speakers a la carte in the K2 M, just not something we feel comfortable doing. Since we specialize in these trucks, we become the tech support for the entire system when the shop/customer needs help and we only supplied one small part. I like to dedicate my team to known successful solutions, and predictable/positive outcomes and let them focus on tech support-related issues that they can fully resolve. You will see these speakers in several upcoming packages, just need to decide how we can set our customers up for success.

For the speakers a la carte, you can purchase them from Crutchfield and if you need the adapter, we can laser cut it for you. Just be careful drilling into the acrylic so it does not crack when mounting the speakers.

Thanks
Don
