GEN 2 Damaged tailgate

Hello everyone

What all do I need to replace this tailgate?

The whole gate itself?

Or a component? Maybe the outer shell?

If I need to replace the whole thing, I'll go with the step model

I’m thinking whole tailgate assembly.

You can buy just the shell. Anything that can be salvage from the damage tailgate will save you a pile of $$. Either way is not going to be a cheap fix.

Hooked my trailer to the car
As I've done hundreds of times
I think that one time I approached the trailer ramp a bit too fast.

The impact sent the trailer hitch up and back onto the gate.

Or maybe I got into a fight with a wolverine
