Yea it should. No inspections in FL so they won't be going on any time soon. X pipe equalizes the back pressure and resonance between each side of cylinders. Y pipe just brings them together and doesn't flow smoothly. X pipe also sounds the best and lest the gases escape the best. I know I didn't do a great job with the explanation sorry about that.

Did you find a good deal on the headers? Stainless has the best prices I've seen

There is a purpose to back pressure, a lot of high revving high compression ratio engines have the tolerances so tight that back pressure is the only thing that prevents piston to head contact at redline, our engines are mid revving mid compression ratio engines, the minimum back pressure and maximum velocity we can run the better, but bypassing the cats can reduce velocity, especially with the use of cutouts to do it, cats produce very large amounts of heat in the exhaust, heat creates velocity in the exhaust system, this is why headers usually produce more power than manifolds (although that's not the only reason headers produce more power) and header wraps improve performance, they both hold heat inside the exhaust system better instead of letting it escape to the environment, cutouts create a sharp 90 degree change in exhaust flow direction which kills velocity, for maximum performance bypassing the cats with cutouts probably isn't the best option out there

Yea I got a great deal through Chris at freedom motorsports. He had an October sale and I got a a few other things all at good deals. I spent way more than I was planning but trucks and boats are the same. Bring on another 1000:)
